HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT YOGA TEACHER TRAINING IN INDIA

After practicing yoga for many years, I realized that it had become an ideal path for me. Hence, I was recommend to do Yoga teacher training in India. I, then, narrowed down the picking process to few questions while attempting to choose the right yoga teacher training course in India for me.

How long should my course be?

200-hour? 100-hour? Or a Pre TTC workshop maybe? These hours determine the length of every yoga teacher training program. Ordinarily, as per the Yoga Alliance, if you plan on teaching yoga after the course, you need to have completed at least 200-hours Yoga teacher training course.

Since, it delves deeper into yoga asanas, this is the most appropriate course for yogis.

Additionally, it is possible to participate in 500 hours program in which you join a 200-hour course followed by 300-hour course. Bear in mind that more you participate, the more the duration of time you’ll need to spend. The length of the course is between 20 to 40 days where you have 7 to 10 hours of training.

What style of yoga should I teach?

Whichever style of yoga which you decide on, make sure you select one which resonates with you. It’s crucial to settle on a kind of yoga which you’re ready to practice and teach your future students.

Where should I go?

The next thing is your location when you’ve decided the kind of also the hours and style of the yoga training program. Many people choose India as it is the birthplace of yoga. There are a few popular destinations in India like Goa, Rishikesh etc. which are offering a Yoga Teacher training course in India.

India is the best option for authentic training. It is surrounded by greenery and nature. Some choose Bali is as a destination in the past few decades, particularly yogis from the Americas. Spain is also the destination of choice for many Europeans.

Whatever you choose, do remember that the course is certified with Yoga Alliance as this provides a fantastic benchmark. Do check if yoga teachers are certified, school’s curriculum. Read testimonials of participants to understand the pros and cons of the course and school.
